Host a River City FC Player
At River City FC, we believe in fostering strong community ties and providing our players with a supportive environment both on and off the field. Our Host Families program is a vital part of this mission, offering a “home away from home” for our players as they compete in the WPSL U21 league. By opening your home to a player, you play an essential role in their journey and help them adjust to a new community while creating lifelong bonds.
Importance of Host Families
As our players embark on their summer soccer season, they come to Jefferson City to play and immerse themselves in the community. Host families act as their guide, providing a sense of family and stability for players who may be far from their own homes. The goal of the program is to help players adjust to moving to a new area, assist them as they get acquainted with the Jefferson City community, and provide a safe and stable living environment. These relationships often last well beyond the summer, creating lasting memories for both the host family and the player.

ACCOMODATIONN
A bed for each player and access to a bathroom (which may be shared)

You may prepare meals for your player(s) at your discretion or, at least, have food available for them to prepare their own meals.

LAUNDRY
Access to a washer and dryer is generally necessary

TRANSPORTATION
Provide a place to park. Many players will have their own car. If the player does not have a car, you may choose to lend them a vehicle, but this is entirely at your discretion and risk.
